Building Luxury Pools with Planning
Set in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, the Lane Cove project began with a simple yet sophisticated vision. This was to build a luxury in-ground concrete pool that would integrate seamlessly with the home’s outdoor living area, while offering functionality all year round.
Our client’s brief was clear and their luxury pool needed to be built from premium materials, have low maintenance, and become a vision for family comfort. Their finished project became a luxurious pool retreat complete with a curved-edge spillover spa, in-floor cleaning system, hidden pool cover, and bespoke lighting. All of this was set within a beautiful landscaped backyard.
Pool Construction Challenges
Transforming this steep, rocky site into a luxurious pool space, came with plenty of construction challenges. Their Lane Cove home had difficult access and unexpected hard rock zones. Our specialist Winrani pool builders also faced persistent wet weather conditions that extended the early stages of construction.
With concurrent landscaping and structural work happening on-site, Winrani’s approach required flexible staging, smart planning, and tight collaboration. Our pool experts implemented custom formwork, resolved drainage complexities, and adjusted scheduling on the fly, ensuring our client’s targets were met without any compromise.

The prestigious SPASA awards judges were impressed with the luxury pool style we delivered to our client. It was acknowledged by them that our pool project work was a testament to our team’s commitment to detail.

- A fully tiled pool interior in Leyla Mosaic – Amaysa, offering both a visual home appeal and durability
- Amalfi Marble coping pavers and Bm2 body paving, delivering luxury style and elegance
- A discreet, built-in automatic pool cover, maintaining both design flow and safety
- A custom-designed spillover spa for year-round relaxation
- LED multicolour lighting, Naked Freshwater chlorinator and Theralux media filter, ensuring a clean and gentle swim experience
This swimming pool was designed with our client’s family in mind. Our team installed shallow steps, which we specifically designed for our client’s young daughters. This allowed them to enter and exit their new pool safely.
